SHARE PATH SKATE PATH Trailer from Skate Sculpture on Vimeo.

This is a documentary I made to examine how skateboarding can be accommodated in Cities that have limited open spaces.

We conducted a social experiment where we built a series of portable skate obstacles and took them into public parks. While the film crew were shooting the skating, I vox-popped over 50 members of the public and asked them various questions including ‘do you think permanent skate-able sculptures would be a positive addition to the park?’ and ‘what logistics would need to be put in place to make this a viable option?’

Share Path Skate Path is due to screen at the St Kilda Film Festival in late may. Once the festival is over we will be uploading the whole 24 minute documentary to the website. Here is the trailer to get you amped! – MdK
